Discover Makita Training Courses

Makita are offering a comprehensive range of training courses, including introductions to the power tool industry, the garden machinery and grounds maintenance sector, refresher courses on new tools and Health and Safety focused sessions covering noise, vibration and dust management.

The training courses are conducted at three specialist training facilities, their Glasgow and London Factory Service Centres and Milton Keynes headquarters. A number of their courses are accredited by City & Guilds, the CITB and UK Rural Skills.

They will also be offering external training on-sites or at construction and land-based colleges to deliver ‘Be Safe’ and ‘Solutions Tool-Box’ courses aimed at supporting students and apprentices working within related industry sectors.

While the training is focused on Makita products, the skills and knowledge you gain will apply when working with any tools. Training is open to everyone in the construction and grounds maintenance industries. They also offer courses for teachers and college trainers to allow them to pass on best practice to their students.

Training for instructors and authorised service teams

As part of the ‘Train the Trainers’ scheme, Makita provides specialist courses for those already competent with the tools, to gain the skills needed to instruct others. This is ideal for larger contractors who wish to deliver in-house or on-site training to operatives on electric, petrol and air-powered tools as well as gas nailers and abrasive wheel tools.

They also offer training courses aimed at those involved in the servicing of Makita construction and outdoor power tools.
